Neena Nour is a classical Belly dancer, or Raks Sharki, in Arizona’s metro Phoenix area. She is well diversified in the different motions, styles and movements of Middle Eastern belly dancing. Neena particularly enjoys dancing to classical Egyptian music from ‘The Golden Age’ including Om Kalsoum and Farid El Atrache.
Neena discovered her passion for the art of belly dancing at the age of sixteen. Inspired by the cultural aspects and beauty of ‘The Golden Age’, Neena first took lessons from Morgania of Phoenix. She also studies with renowned dancers Helena Vlahos, Dahlena, Jillina and Ava Flemmings. Neena combines the different techniques they teach her to develop her own unique belly dance style.
Neena entices the audience by incorporating various belly dance props including swords, trays of candles, canes (folk dance), veils, and zills (finger cymbals) with her distinctive belly dance style. Click here to watch a brief demonstration.
